This was the dress I wore at my first wedding. I was too young to make a good life choice, but I sure had solid taste in dresses! The dress is a romantic organza empire waist gown, subtly cut on the bias to help it drape. The bustline has a beaded mesh panel that goes all the way around the bodice, and the mesh cap sleeves are beaded, while the rest of the dress is plain. The dress is white and has a sweep train and a detachable panel/watteau train that is a bit longer. The hem of the panel train is beaded like the top of the dress, and the train itself is in perfect condition (I only wore it in the church). The hem of the dress is in so-so shape--I didn't get the dress cleaned or preserved after I wore it in 2007, so there are some stains along the hem. There is also a pull in the organza in the back. I think that if you had a tailor remove the built-in train (and just used the panel train), you could cut off the part with the pull. If you keep the sweep train, there is a one-point French bustle inside (just tie the ribbons together). In all, this is a lovely dress with a couple of problems that a good tailor and good drycleaner could easily resolve. Please e-mail me for more photos--I have pictures of the stains on the hem and of the beading detail. For the sale itself, I prefer Safefunds.com. I bought the dress for my second (and final) wedding on Oncewed using Escrow.com and it was a PAIN. I’ve used Safefunds.com to buy jewelry online; it was painless.
